1、decay /dɪˈkeɪ/
decay可以作不可数名词,也可作动词,意思都是“腐败,腐烂”或者“衰败,衰退”。
The landlord had let the building fall into decay.
房东任由房子变得破烂不堪。
Without a lot of money, the mayor won’t be able to stop urban decay.
若没有大量的资金,市长就无法阻止城市的衰落。
The derelict buildings are the signs of a town in decay.

2、deceit /dɪˈsiːt/
deceit是名词,意为“欺骗,欺诈”。、

I can't stand your treachery and deceit.
我不能容忍你的背信弃义和欺诈虚伪。
3、deceive /dɪˈsiːv/
deceive是及物动词,意为“欺骗,隐瞒”,后面直接加宾语,但是“欺骗某人做某事”需要用搭配deceive sb into doing sth。
His gentle, kindly appearance did not deceive me.
他虽然摆出一副和蔼可亲的外表,但是骗不了我。
If you can make the last 10 seconds exciting, you can deceive your audience into thinking it's been like that all along.

4、decent /ˈdiːsnt/
decent是形容词,大致有三个常见意思。第一,指某物“还不错的,相当好的”;第二,指某人”正派的,正直的”;第三,意为“得体的,适当的”。在具体的语境中,翻译时需要根据句子选择合适的词语。

5、decimal /ˈdesɪml/

6、decisive /dɪˈsaɪsɪv/
decisive是重点形容词,第一个意思为“决定性的,关键性的”,第二个意思为“坚决的,果断的”。

Mr. Johnson’s opinion is decisive on the question.

7、deck /dek/
deck是名词,指船上“甲板”,也可指船上、飞机上公共汽车上的“一层”。
I was the only person on deck at that time of night.

8、declaration /ˌdekləˈreɪʃn/
declaration是名词,意为“公告,宣告”

9、declare /dɪˈkleə/

10、decorate /ˈdekəreɪt/
decorate是动词,意为“装饰,点缀”,也可指“粉刷”。
