很多考生认为标点符号的错误是无伤大雅的，但事实上标点符号错误使用会在很大程度上增加文章的阅读难度以及引起读者对于作者文章逻辑思维的质疑。在中国考生的写作中，普遍有一个特点，即对“逗号”以及“句点”的偏爱，在批改作文的过程中有时会批到一段话有9个逗号只有1个句号的情况，或者是一句话里有很多个点但没有任何逗号。而造成这种现象的主要原因在于考生自己的写作习惯(写几个单词停下来点一个点，接着再写再点，形成恶性循环)以及对常见逻辑词词性的陌生。

考生在写作过程中使用的高频逻辑词有“但是however”以及“因此therefore”，例如：

Some people think it is the school that should assume the responsibility to help children become good social members, however, the school cannot supervise and guide everyone in time because of their large number.

这一句话里，如果要连接两个句子，只能通过连词或者分号来实现;但是however只是副词，所以这句话的标点符号需要发生一定的改变。可改成：

Some people think it is the school that should assume the responsibility to help children become good social members; however, the school cannot supervise and guide everyone in time because of their large number.

或者：

Some people think it is the school that should assume the responsibility to help children become good social members. However, the school cannot supervise and guide everyone in time because of their large number.
