MPA考研英语每日单词：

1、 curl /kɜːl/

curl作名词，指“卷发”或者头发的“卷曲”，还可以指“卷曲物，螺旋状物”。

Her hair fell in curls over her shoulders. 她的头发卷曲着垂在肩上。

Curls of smoke were rising from the chimney. 缕缕青烟从烟囱中升起。

curl还可以作动词，意为“弯曲，缠绕”或者“蜷缩”，注意例句中的用法。

Morning mists curled across the river. 河面上晨雾缭绕。

A new baby will automatically curl its fingers round any object it touches. 新生婴儿碰到任何东西，都会自动弯起手指握住它。
