1、dairy /ˈdeəri/
dairy作名词,意为“牛奶场,乳品公司”,dairy也可作形容词,意为“奶制的,乳品的”。

2、dam /dæm/
dam是名词,意为“水坝,拦河坝”,是一个常见名词。
The Aswan High Dam is on the River Nile in Egypt.

水坝已经决口了,有发洪水的危险。
3、damp /dæmp/
damp作形容词,意为“潮湿的”,也可作名词,指“潮湿,湿气”,还可以作动词,意为“使…潮湿,弄湿…”,此时等于dampen。

5、dawn /dɔːn/
dawn作名词,意为“黎明,拂晓”,由此引申为“开端,萌芽”。dawn还可作动词,用在词组dawn on sb中,意为“使…明白,开始理解”,变形结构为 it dawns on sb that…(某人突然明白…),这个是很常见的句式。
The boats set off at dawn.

8、deaf /def/
deaf是名词,意为“聋的”,常见短语turn a deaf ear (to sb/sth) 意为“对…置之不理,充耳不闻”。
Tom was born profoundly deaf.

Many regular TV programs are captioned for the deaf.
许多常规的电视节目都为耳聋者配了字幕。

9、dean /diːn/

Parsons is the dean of the TV news correspondents at Channel Nine.

10、debt /det/
debt是常见名词,意为“债务,欠款”,也可指“。负债,负债情况”,

It took him three years to clear his bank debts.
