从历年英语二小作文真题可以看出, 小作文主要分为五大类：
1. 介绍类：活动，会议，演讲
2. 问题类：建议，投诉
3. 要求类：求职，询问，求助
4. 情感类：感谢，道歉，祝贺
5. 申请类：求职，辞职，推荐
小作文写作分为三段：
第一段：开门见山说目的
第二段：先总后分说细节
第三段：礼貌结尾表期待
第一段：开门见山说目的
Dear xxx,
I hope this letter finds you in the best of spirits. I am writing to 具体目的.
具体目的：
(1)通知：inform you of the upcoming meeting scheduled on Friday.
(2)邀请：invite you to participate in the xxx.
(3)建议：make some suggestions regarding xxx.
(4)投诉：make a complaint about xxx.
(5)询问：inquire about xxx.
(6)求助：ask for your favor regarding xxx.
(7)感谢：express my gratitude to you for xxx.
(8)祝贺：express my congratulations to you on xxx.
(9)求职：apply for the position of xxx.
(10)推荐：recommend xxx as a qualified candidate for the position of xxx.
(11)辞职：inform you of my resignation from my current position.
第二段：先总后分谈细节
总述句：
There are a few xxx that I would like to draw your attention to.
分论点：
①The first and foremost thing that I would like to highlight is xxx.
②One more thing that is of vital importance is xxx.
③Another thing that needs greater attention is xxx.
第三段：礼貌结尾表期待
